Seimi Park was born in Flushing, New York and currently lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In her junior year of high school, Seimi founded Homiha Designs -- an online fashion business dedicated to raising investments for student entrepreneurs to start their own start-ups and nonprofit businesses. She is interested in exploring the intersections of technology, public policy, and social entrepreneurship. Growing up, Seimi watched as her mother put her career in fashion on hold to take her family. By the time Seimi and her brother were able to take care of themselves, Seimi's mother had "outgrown the industry," which focused on hiring the youngest, most "current" workers possible. This is a problem that plagues women everywhere -- why should women have to choose between the privilege of being a mother and pursuing their dream job? In the future, Seimi hopes to go into business, a field that has traditionally been seen as male-dominated, making Ventures like Collab all the more important. For Seimi, it's personal.
