This year, Speak Up will be partnering up with Stand Against Silence to encourage all members of Speak Up (and beyond) to use their public speaking skills to fight sexual assault. It's important to understand that sexual assault is 100% preventable, and that change truly starts with one person. In honor of victims of sexual assault, Speak Up will design a lesson within both the "Middle School Debate" program and the "Urban Schools Outreach" program that deals with responding to sexual assault and teaching students how to use their voice to become advocates of change.
