Middle School Debate

Speak Up's "Middle School Debate" program focuses on connecting high school debaters with middle school debate teams, similar to a "free coaching service", to encourage students to continue debate in high school. Speak Up's "Middle School Debate" program originated at Longfellow Middle School in McLean, VA where high school volunteers taught public speaking skills and judged mock debates on a weekly basis. High school volunteers also judged at Urban Debate League tournaments on a monthly basis.
